Bookmark bar
Turbo adds display and workflow enhancements on top of the Chromium bookmark bar, so a busy bar stays compact and faster to use. Most toggles live under Settings → Appearance.
Available on Windows and macOS. To migrate bookmarks from another browser, see Data import; for cloud sync, see Sync.
Show bookmarks bar
In Settings → Appearance, Show bookmarks bar is a dropdown:

Auto-hide bookmark bar
With Auto-hide, the bar stays collapsed until you hover the address bar area, then collapses again when the pointer moves into page content. Useful when you want more page space without turning the bar off entirely.
While a context menu is open, the bar stays revealed so the menu is not dismissed by hide/show flicker.
Show icons only on the bookmarks bar
Toggle Show icons only on the bookmarks bar in Settings → Appearance (off by default). When on, bookmark-bar items show favicons only; full titles remain available on hover — useful when you have many bookmarks and want a denser bar.
Multi-column bookmark bar menus
Overflow and folder dropdowns on the bookmark bar split into columns by available height (Beta), so long folders need less scrolling. Toggle in Settings → Appearance (on by default); falls back to a single column when too wide or on error.
Open bookmarks in a new tab
Toggle Open bookmarks in a new tab in Settings → Appearance. When on, a plain click on a bookmark bar or bookmark menu item opens it in a new tab instead of the current one.
Replace with current page
On a bookmark-bar item, right-click → Replace with current page to update that bookmark’s URL and title from the active tab (not available for folders). Handy when a pinned entry should become the page you are viewing, without delete-and-recreate.
Import bookmarks
The bookmark bar includes an Import bookmarks entry; you can also use Settings → Profile → Import bookmarks and settings for Chrome / Edge (Safari bookmarks on macOS). Full steps: Data import.
